I'm not dead. Not yet. But I haven't been doing much reading for the past couple of weeks. When I have been reading, it's been George Pelecanos' The Double and so far I dig, but it would be better if I could just read and not worry about other stuff. We've been having a bit of a major family medical crisis around here for the past couple of weeks. I don't care to go into it now, not until I can write more eloquently on it, but suffice to say it has been, and continues to be, a difficult time for all involved.

Anyway, that's the score. It's been easier for me to relax in front of the TV lately, but I am starting to miss the printed word. And I'm itching to see how Spero Lucas fares in the conclusion of The Double.
